Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify radii, diameters, chords, secants, tangents, arcs, sectors, and central, inscribed, and circumscribed angles in circular sports designs as geometric features that determine how a design functions.
Students will be able to calculate angle measures, radian measures, arc lengths, and sector areas to establish accurate dimensions for a circular sports feature.
Students will be able to justify and revise a circular sports-feature blueprint using calculations, design constraints, and peer and teacher feedback to improve accuracy, usefulness, and clarity.

Circular Sports-Feature Design Analysis and Concept Blueprint
Each student will annotate a sample layout, solve angle, radian, arc-length, and sector-area problems, and create a labeled concept blueprint with a written justification and proposed revision based on feedback. This individual record establishes the mathematical reasoning each student contributes to the team design.
Revised Circular Sports-Feature Blueprint and Expo Presentation
Teams will combine and evaluate members’ concepts to produce an accurate blueprint with labeled circle features, verified calculations, design constraints, and documented revisions from Blueprint Blitz feedback. At the class Sports Design Expo, every member will explain a mathematical relationship, design decision, and improvement supported by evidence.
