Students will investigate birdhouse features, frame the engineering challenge, and begin an individual Birdhouse Engineering Design Notebook.

Students will generate and annotate competing birdhouse concepts, compare them using research-based criteria, and complete a dimensioned design and measurable test plan before construction begins.

Students will present, defend, and reflect on tested birdhouse prototypes using research, test data, and peer feedback as engineering evidence.
