Students will launch the project by testing how weight placement affects two arched wooden boat models, establishing measurable design criteria, and creating an evidence-informed initial sketch.

Students will compare multiple arched-hull concepts using measurable criteria, construct the selected 6-by-6-inch wooden boat, and use controlled load tests, digital data, and peer feedback to revise it for the harbor showcase.

Students will exhibit and test their final arched wooden boats, defend design decisions with quantitative evidence, evaluate peer designs, and reflect on their academic and teamwork growth.
