Launch
Launch
Students will enter a simulated travel agency, experience key trip-planning challenges, examine a mock client’s perspective, and identify the evidence and Spanish communication skills needed to design a client-ready trip.
Days 1 - 2
Research & Empathize
Research & Empathize
Students will investigate a client’s priorities through profile analysis and direct stakeholder contact, evaluate authentic travel sources, and produce an individually authored research brief and empathy artifact that establish evidence-based criteria for a five-night trip.
Days 3 - 8
Synthesize & Design
Synthesize & Design
Students will synthesize individual research into a client-centered design brief, develop and compare multiple five-night itinerary concepts, and create a low-fidelity multimedia prototype supported by credible evidence, Spanish communication, and documented design tradeoffs.
Days 9 - 13
Test & Refine
Test & Refine
Students will test a low-fidelity travel itinerary with peers and an external travel professional or representative client, analyze feedback, and complete two documented revision cycles. Teams will refine the itinerary, budget, Spanish communication, and researched travel-problem response before completing a final validation gate and preparing evidence of their design journey for the Travel Agent Expo.
Days 14 - 18
Showcase
Showcase
Students will present and defend a client-ready vacation package at an authentic Travel Agent Expo, use audience feedback to complete final revisions, and reflect on their growth in Spanish communication, research, problem-solving, collaboration, and project management.
