Learning Goals
Students will be able to formulate and refine a focused research question about an inspirational leader’s greatest challenge and response using preliminary research and peer feedback.
Students will be able to evaluate and document evidence from two or three reliable sources and a community interview about a leader’s life, goals, challenges, actions, and influence.
Students will be able to analyze how an inspirational leader responded to a major obstacle and justify three leadership traits with relevant, corroborated evidence.
Students will be able to synthesize and communicate research findings through a revised written speech, supporting slides, collaborative discussion, and reflection on growth as a researcher and speaker.

Inspirational Leader Investigation Notebook
Each student documents question development, notes from two or three reliable sources and a community interview, source evaluations, conflicting findings, evidence-based analysis, peer feedback, revisions, and reflections that prepare the written speech and slides.
Leadership Under Challenge Gallery-Walk Presentation
Teams organize a shared gallery station that compares their individually researched leaders, while each student displays slides, delivers a 2–3 minute written speech, and answers an audience question about growth; the team also presents shared patterns, differences, limitations, and new questions without hiding conflicting findings.
