Students will launch the leadership investigation by distinguishing evidence from inference, exploring how leaders respond to challenges, and generating curiosity questions for future research.

Students will select an inspirational leader, refine a focused inquiry question, plan research using reliable sources and a community interview, and create a feedback-revised blueprint for their presentation.

Students will corroborate evidence about an inspirational leader, interpret the leader’s response to a major challenge, and transform their findings into a revised speech-and-slides package supported by peer critique.

Students will present their completed leadership investigations during an Inspiration Gallery Walk for classmates, family members, and community mentors. Using student-created Canva or Google Slides and a written speech, each student delivers a 2–3 minute presentation explaining the leader’s greatest challenge, response, and three evidence-supported traits, then answers one audience question about growth as a researcher and speaker. Audience members leave feedback identifying strong evidence, clear communication, and community leadership connections; each student gives feedback to two peers, receives feedback, and makes one final revision to the archived speech or slides. The teacher must provide devices, display areas, presentation access, and feedback slips with three prompts: “Strong evidence,” “Clear speaking move,” and “Leadership connection.”
