Students will build empathy for local Imperial Valley careers by noticing what workers do, practicing respectful interview routines, and gathering first-hand information from community voices. They will begin a focused career inquiry, test and revise interview questions, and capture evidence about job duties, tools, education, and workplace expectations.

Students will sort evidence from guest speakers and research, identify real information needs about local careers, and turn that evidence into a clear problem statement and focused career-fit question that can guide the next phase of idea generation.

Students will use evidence from local career interviews, notes, and research to generate many possible ways to represent and explain career fit, then narrow to promising directions for a stronger career profile and visual display. They will build on earlier interview and note-taking work by clustering evidence, drafting multiple ideas, giving and receiving peer feedback, and revising a selected concept before moving into drafting.

Students will turn their interview research and career-fit thinking into first drafts of a career profile, visual pitch card, and gallery-walk materials, using evidence, peer feedback, and revision before moving into testing.

Students will test their draft career profile materials and interview preparation with peers and community users, collect evidence-based feedback, and revise their work based on what they learn about clarity, usefulness, and career fit.

Students will use structured critique to improve their career profile, visual card, and short presentation by grounding revisions in interview notes, guest-speaker exit tickets, and peer feedback. They will check whether their claims about career fit are supported by evidence, revise unclear interview preparation explanations, and strengthen visuals and speaking plans before the final reflection phase.

Students will finalize and present their local career learning, document how interview preparation and feedback shaped their work, and reflect on whether a career fits their strengths, interests, and goals.
