Steam Engine Investigation Notebook

Students compile a research notebook with their question, source notes, data tables, vocabulary, and personal analysis of how steam power affected different social classes. The notebook shows individual mastery of evidence collection, source comparison, and historical reasoning.

Steam, Work, and Social Class Museum Exhibit Report

Teams create a formal exhibit report or presentation that synthesizes each member’s evidence into one defended conclusion about who benefited most and who paid the greatest costs. The report must include process explanation, visuals, source comparisons, limitations, and new questions.
