Students will be able to solve linear equations and inequalities about party budget, guest count, and vendor costs to determine feasible event plans.
Students will be able to graph and interpret systems of linear inequalities for budget and venue capacity to identify the set of viable party proposal options.
Students will be able to create equations in two variables for party pricing and guest planning relationships to model total costs and attendance limits.
Students will be able to analyze graphs, tables, and ordered pairs for party cost and capacity data to compare design options and justify a recommendation.
Students will be able to explain and justify solution steps for linear equations and inequalities used in the party proposal notebook.

Products
Individual Party Budget and Constraint Analysis Notebook
Each student creates a notebook with original cost calculations, at least two solution methods, graphs, and a short justification of their assigned planning decisions. The notebook must show how individual thinking feeds the team’s final proposal.
Mathematically Justified Prom Night Party Proposal and Pitch Deck
Teams produce a revised party proposal folder and presentation deck with a theme, budget table, capacity plan, systems of inequalities, and evidence from at least one round of testing and revision. The final pitch must defend the chosen plan with mathematical evidence and explain trade-offs and limitations.
