Students will refine a fishing investigation by analyzing promising locations, researching local species and rules, and building a peer-reviewed method plan with a clear hypothesis, controlled variables, evidence-recording system, and conservation-minded decision points.

Students will analyze fishing trial evidence, build defensible conclusions from maps, photos, weather notes, and catch data, revise their interpretations through peer critique, and prepare polished field journal and oral briefing materials for the Hook, Line, and Learn Fair.

Showcase
Students will present their completed fishing investigation products to an authentic audience at the Hook, Line, and Learn Fair, defend their conclusions with evidence, respond to scenario-based questions about changing conditions and responsible fishing, and complete a brief reflection on how their methods and decisions improved over time.
