⚛️ Proton Neutron Electron Counts

Using element cards, periodic table excerpts, and sample atom diagrams for carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, students practice determining proton, neutron, and electron counts and placing particles in a labeled atom sketch. The teacher models how these counts connect to later molecule building and naming, and students complete two quick atom models in their notebooks. This session provides the just-in-time content needed before teams propose methods for accurate model construction.
