🧪 Carbon Pattern Evidence Sort

Students examine a short evidence set with molecular formulas, particle diagrams, and photos of food, water, carbon dioxide, and larger carbon-based structures. In teams, they sort cards into atom, simple molecule, or extended structure categories and record at least three patterns and two anomalies in their Atomic Structure Investigation Notebook. The class then compares competing categorizations and identifies what evidence is still needed to model these substances accurately.
