Submission Required
Students visit the selected campus or neighborhood space with an observation sheet, clipboard, thermometer or shade checker, and colored pencils to record human impacts and user behaviors. In pairs, they collect at least three direct observations, sketch the area, and separate what they saw from what they inferred about needs or problems. Back in class, pairs add one labeled note to a shared site map.
