Students will define measurable criteria and constraints for the egg-drop challenge, investigate how Newtonβs Laws, impulse-momentum, and energy conservation inform safer designs, study car safety and packaging examples, draft multiple container concepts, and produce a team design brief with a data-collection plan for later sensor-based testing.

Students will present and defend their final egg-protection designs to an authentic audience, using slides, videos, prototype evidence, and physics reasoning to explain how testing and revision improved performance. They will complete the project by demonstrating design outcomes, answering audience questions with quantitative evidence, and documenting their final engineering thinking in the portfolio.
