Using the class wall map, charted wonderings, and 3 short investigable question choices, students help choose one class question, then work in small groups to build a simple method: find Kentucky, identify 2 map labels or symbols, trace 1 possible route, and record route, direction, and landmark words on a shared planning sheet. Groups exchange plans with another group, give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise their method so it is clear enough to use in a passport entry.
