🎭 Script to Stage Kickoff

Students watch short excerpts from a Shakespeare scene, an American dramatist scene, and a filmed adaptation, then discuss how each version changes audience response through acting, pacing, staging, and visual choices. The class unpacks the driving questions and maps the major artifacts they will create this term: monologue, dialogue, scene, stage directions, screenplay pages, recordings, and performance drafts.
