Teams meet with the teacher for a milestone review of the model, sign draft, plant cards, and revised problem statement pages. Students must explain how the prototype serves real users, what science evidence supports their choices, and what they still need to test. Teams that meet the checkpoint move to the next phase with a clear testing plan; teams that are not yet ready revise targeted components during the conference block.
