Each team turns field notes, interview evidence, and plant science learning into an empathy board and a first zone sketch for the outdoor science lab. Students draft a possible themed area, label plant choices with common and scientific names, and note how the area could support observation, research, or experimentation while reducing human impact. Teams then give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, revise once, and submit a clearer version with a brief evidence statement; this checkpoint gates movement into the next phase.
