Students gather empathy evidence from people outside the classroom and from likely school users. In rotating small groups, they conduct short interviews with community partners and school adults using question stems about safety, maintenance, learning needs, accessibility, shade, seating, and stewardship, then create simple user journey maps showing how a class might enter, observe, record data, and care for a garden zone. Groups cluster interview notes on chart paper, identify repeated needs, and share one assumption they had to revise after listening to users.
