✅ Butterfly Needs Performance Check

Students complete an observation-based checkpoint in small groups by acting out the butterfly life cycle, sorting food, water, and shelter cards, and orally explaining their choices to the teacher. The teacher uses a simple picture rubric to note each child's sequencing, vocabulary, and evidence-based explanation. Children who need support get one additional prompt and a chance to restate their thinking.
