Using large Peru maps, landscape photos, and picture cards, students work with partners to sort examples into mountain, river, and coast groups. They practice saying why each card belongs by pointing to a photo clue, map feature, or model detail such as fishing boats, river farms, or mountain paths. The teacher introduces a simple class evidence chart with columns for what we saw, what it might mean, and what we still wonder.
