Students review their insect collection logs, habitat notes, problem statements, and early sketch/freewrite evidence, then use a rapid ideation protocol to generate possibilities for both a visual artwork and a creative writing piece. The teacher models how to translate anatomy, behavior, and habitat details into artistic choices such as composition, symbolism, color, point of view, and tone. Students produce a one-page ideation sheet with at least one concept tied to audience experience at the future gallery walk.
