🤟 Handshape Accuracy Clinic
Effective Communication
Submission Required
Grading Required
A local sign language interpreter or Deaf community representative demonstrates selected handshapes, explains why accuracy and context matter, and responds to student questions about respectful visual representation. Students observe closely, make annotated contour studies from a mirror and reference demonstration, and capture notes about assumptions they need to test in the next phase. The class closes with a quick gallery walk in which students leave one note about how a sketch communicates identity or emotion and one note about a drawing skill they strengthened that day.
