📚 Book Bistro Science Sort

Students rotate through short table stations with children’s science picture books, printed sample Canva pages, and page cards. In small groups, they sort examples into categories such as clear explanation, strong evidence, helpful visuals, and unclear meaning, then add patterns to a whole-class anchor chart about what makes a science story easy for younger readers to understand. The class closes by naming the essential questions, previewing the final Canva storybook and author’s note, and writing one possible science topic or younger-reader need they may want to explore next phase.
