Students watch a fast-paced montage of exemplary short film moments and track how shot choice, sound, pacing, and transitions guide viewer attention. In small crews, they then draw assigned props, locations, and production roles to devise, rehearse, and film a 30-second scripted or improvised scene on phones or class cameras. Crews screen their clip for the class, collect quick warm/cool feedback, and end with a three-minute crew circle naming one technical win, one collaboration challenge, and one next step.
