🍰 Thiebaud, Verrier, and Food Stories

Students move through a gallery walk of Wayne Thiebaud and Noah Verrier images alongside photos or sketches of everyday foods. They use a note-catcher to identify visual strategies such as color, repetition, scale, realism, and mood, then discuss how food can carry memory, culture, celebration, or routine. The class closes by unpacking the driving question and the expectations for rough drafts, critique, sculpture making, artist statement, and the spring art show.
