🧩 First Tile Sketch and Goals

Using materials from the stations, students study a teacher-modeled mosaic layout and create 2 thumbnail ideas for their own tile on index cards or sketch paper. In pairs, they explain their ideas, listen to a partner, and choose one symbol, color plan, or pattern to carry forward. The class then builds a shared chart of goals for the mosaic, such as showing belonging, using clear symbols, and making pieces that work together in one design map.
