Students go outside with clipboards to visit a thermometer, windsock, and rain gauge station, then look at the sky and feel the air to name what they notice. Back inside, the class compares two large weather cards for today and yesterday using more/less language, sorts a few clothing and weather photo cards into sunny, rainy, cloudy, and windy groups, and adds the first mark to the class weather chart. In partner talk, each child shares one observation, gets feedback from a partner about whether the drawing, label, or category matches the weather, and revises a quick weather sketch for the investigation notebook.
