Cause-and-Effect Research Storyboard Notebook
Students create an individual investigation record that includes their original 6–8 panel narrative plan, a mapped sequence of events, mentor-text event logs, and brief analysis of how actions lead to consequences. The notebook also captures revision notes showing how feedback changed their plot choices and theme statement.
Collaborative Plot Analysis and Storyboard Gallery Presentation
Teams present a formal analysis of how plot structure works in “A Sound of Thunder” and “Being Prey,” using shared evidence, sequence maps, and a visual explanation of tension, causation, and theme. Each team must address one anomalous or debated event connection and explain why their interpretation is the most warranted.
