📖 Literature Circles: Friendship & Isolation (110 min)

Content Expertise Collaboration Effective Communication PS.2.A Reflection Submission Required

Students meet in book-specific literature circles (Remarkably Bright Creatures or Project Hail Mary). They identify two key scenes that develop friendship or loneliness and discuss how physical environments influence those themes. Groups create a short chart linking emotional experiences in the text to possible sensory ride elements (speed changes, forces, darkness, magnetic effects).

Student-facing instructions
In your literature circles, you will explore themes of friendship and loneliness by discussing key scenes from your book. Use the provided excerpts to identify two scenes that highlight these themes. Discuss how the setting affects the characters' feelings and create a chart linking these emotions to sensory elements you might include in a theme park ride. Share your chart with another group and reflect on any new insights gained from the discussion.
