Students will launch the project by investigating how local government affects real people in their daily lives. Through a live interview with a school-based community member and completion of an empathy map, students will gather firsthand evidence that will guide later problem definition and mural design.

Students will synthesize their government interview research to identify patterns in how local government affects daily life and craft a clear, user-centered "How Might We" problem statement that guides their mural and infographic designs.

Students will generate and evaluate multiple creative ways to help community members understand how local government impacts daily life, using their team “How Might We” statements and real interview evidence to guide idea selection before prototyping.

Students will build a low-fidelity prototype of their team’s Government Gallery Gala mural panel, test it with real users, and revise it based on documented feedback to ensure their design clearly explains how local government helps people in daily life.

Students will validate their final government mural panels and infographics with new audience members during the Government Gallery Gala and present a clear design story that traces their work from user interviews to final prototype, explaining how the three branches of government impact daily life.
