🧠 Affinity Mapping Heritage Quotes

Students extract 6–8 powerful quotes from their two family interviews (in Spanish and/or English) and write each on a separate sticky note. In small design teams, they cluster quotes into thematic groups (e.g., sacrifice, migration journey, faith, language loss, resilience) and label each cluster with an insight statement beginning with "Families need…" or "Immigrant elders value…". Teams briefly connect emerging themes to motifs from Esperanza to ground insights in literary analysis.
