🔍 Spotting Patterns & Surprises

Students use colored pencils to circle patterns (steady growth, big jumps) and star any unusual data (yellow leaf day, drooping plant) directly on their graphs. In pairs, they use sentence frames: “I notice…”, “I wonder…”, and “This might mean…”. The class charts common patterns and surprising results on anchor paper.
