🌊 Water vs. Sand Heat Demo

Students observe two equal volumes of water and sand exposed to a heat lamp for several minutes, with real-time temperature probe readings projected. After heat removal, they watch initial cooling trends. Students record detailed observations in their lab notebooks and generate at least five “notice and wonder” statements connecting to Earth’s climate and temperature regulation.
