🛠️ Rapid Earth–Sun Model Build

Self Directed Learning MS-ESS1-1 MS-ESS1-1 Submission Required

Students individually construct a low-fidelity prototype of their Earth–Sun–Moon solution using foam spheres, skewers, cardboard, clay, and a lamp as the Sun. The model must physically demonstrate rotation (24-hour), revolution (365-day), axial tilt (~23.5°), and include placeholders for lunar phases, eclipses, climate zones, and water cycle arrows. Students label directly on masking tape flags and prepare a 1-minute explanation tied to their HMW statement.
