Students create a detailed concept sketch of their selected carp kite (12–18 inches planned size), labeling materials (e.g., toilet paper roll body, tissue tail), scale patterns, color symbolism, and reinforcement methods. Annotations must cite at least two interview quotes and explain how the design communicates Japanese Children’s Day symbolism and sustainability.
