Students learn criteria for effective How Might We (HMW) questions: user-centered, evidence-based, and open-ended (not naming a specific solution like “paint a mural with blue”). They analyze two weak and two strong examples connected to abstract art and emotional impact. Students then draft two possible HMW questions based on their insight statement.
