🎨 Cultural Canvas Kickoff

Students examine 3–4 Kehinde Wiley portraits and discuss composition, saturated color, scale, and patterned backgrounds. The class unpacks the Essential Questions and identifies how Wiley’s techniques communicate identity and power. Students generate initial assumptions about how viewers feel when they see themselves represented in art.
