Preparation (3 items)
- Prepare a set of weather picture cards, showing cold, rainy, sunny, and windy conditions. Ensure each small group has a complete set.
- Create large chart paper and markers for each group to record clothing choices for the weather types.
- Set up the classroom in a circular seating arrangement for the initial discussion and then transition to small group areas.
Student-facing instructions
You will work in groups to sort picture cards that show different kinds of weather. Discuss and decide what clothes kids need to wear for each type of weather. Make a chart with your group's choices and then share with the class. You'll need picture cards, markers, and chart paper.
