Using their investigation notebooks and class picture graphs (heart rate counts, energy smiley scales, food label notes), the teacher models how to turn patterns into conclusion sentences: “Our data shows…,” “This means…,” and “It does NOT show….” Students highlight or circle two pieces of evidence in their notebooks that answer their research question and practice saying their conclusion aloud to a partner.
