Essential Question
Students rotate through 3 mystery stations with envelopes containing picture clues about historical unfair laws (e.g., Rosa Parks and bus seating, children not allowed in certain schools, unequal voting rights). Wearing detective hats and using magnifying glasses, small groups study images and short read-aloud cards, then decide: Who was affected? Was the rule fair or unfair? How could it change? Groups share their first ideas about the Essential Question.
