Totem Prototype Iterations

Students develop iterative prototypes of their totem pole sections, starting with low-fidelity paper or cardboard versions and advancing to medium-fidelity functional mockups. An iteration log records changes between versions and the justifications for each redesign. Students will seek feedback from peers and, when possible, community mentors to ensure symbols and storytelling elements are respectful and meaningful.
