Students will collaboratively read and analyze the key scene in Fahrenheit 451, engage with community film industry partners to explore media's role in societal change, brainstorm personal connections to the thematic content, and initiate storyboarding based on their empathetic understanding of character motivations.

Students will synthesize ideas and research from Fahrenheit 451 into an impactful problem statement, reflecting on contemporary relevance, and draft a storyboard that visualizes key scenes as a framework for their short film projects.

Students will collaboratively brainstorm and storyboard diverse film scenes that depict Montag's confrontation with Beatty, merging their insights from the text with current societal issues, and partner with KPBS or film industry experts for real-world perspectives, followed by reflective discussions on their envisioned narratives.

Students will collaborate to create storyboard prototypes for their short films or documentaries, incorporating themes from Fahrenheit 451, while receiving peer feedback to revise and finalize their concepts for testing and exhibition.

Students will present their film or documentary to community partners and stakeholders during an all school exhibition while articulating their creative process and reflecting on how the project addresses the essential question of warning others about future consequences.
