Students will conduct interviews with Lake Katrine Lawn and Power representatives and local mechanics to gather insights on workflow challenges and storage needs, and observe the current shop setup to identify areas for improvement.

Students will analyze insights from the panel discussion, draft a clear problem statement reflecting Lake Katrine Lawn and Power's specific needs, and collaborate to identify key challenges in system design and shop layout that impact operational efficiency and safety.

Students will brainstorm and develop innovative HVAC, electrical, and shop equipment layout solutions in small groups, drawing from insights gained in the community partner panel, and will prepare initial sketches and plans to share with peers for feedback.

Students will develop and construct initial prototypes of their system designs and shop layouts using physical models or digital simulations, experimenting with various configurations to enhance workflow and safety, and preparing to share their iterations for further feedback and refinement.

Students will present their refined system designs and shop layouts to representatives from Lake Katrine Lawn and Power, validating their solutions through user feedback and reflecting on how their choices enhance workflow, safety, and efficiency.
