🧪 Modeling Strong vs. Weak Investigation Plans
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
SCI.2.CC.7
SCI.2.SEP.2
Using two picture-based sample investigation plans about snacks and energy, the class acts out each plan to see which would give clearer answers. Students identify what makes one plan stronger (clear steps, what to measure, same conditions) and sort picture cards labeled “fair test,” “unclear,” “measure,” and “control.” The teacher charts class criteria for a strong lunch investigation plan that students will use when revising their own designs.
