Empathy Driven Concepts
Work with a small group to gather direct input from potential audiences and community partners through brief interviews to surface needs and hopes for a senior project documentary. Collect empathy artifacts such as maps, quotes, and notes. Use these insights to brainstorm a wide range of documentary approaches, then create concept sketches or storyboards for multiple ideas. Build a feasibility/impact matrix evaluating technical requirements, access, time, and potential audience impact. Conduct quick user testing with potential viewers, then select the top 3 concepts with rationale that connect to audience needs and the school's learning culture, iterating on the sketches based on feedback from peers and mentors. Deliver a concept pack including empathy artifacts, concept sketches or storyboards, a feasibility/impact matrix, and Top 3 concepts with rationale.
