Purpose

Embark on a unique exploration of personal identity and local community dynamics through engaging with San Diego’s varied social and cultural landscapes. Discover hidden gems and capture real-world interactions by vlogging and interviewing, creating lasting insights that extend beyond high school. Develop critical thinking and communication skills by investigating how shared spaces shape social connections, while fostering deeper self-knowledge and cultural understanding.

Learning goals

In this project, you'll deepen your self-knowledge and enhance your communication skills by conducting interviews and vlogging your findings. You'll cultivate critical thinking by analyzing social interactions and cultural dynamics within San Diego's community spots. Engage collaboratively by connecting with peers and local community partners, leading to an increased understanding of your identity and place in the community. Through reflection and exhibition, you'll share your insights, promoting meaningful dialogue and gaining feedback that will refine your understanding.
