Students will immerse themselves in the themes of fate, free will, and moral responsibility by creating reflective journals that connect Antigone's narrative to their personal experiences, complemented by interviews with community activists to understand societal challenges, as they lay the groundwork for the upcoming Define phase where students analyze these insights in relation to contemporary issues.

Students will articulate their understanding of Antigone's themes of fate, free will, and moral responsibility, using insights from their initial empathy work to identify key contemporary issues and create a collaborative problem statement that will guide the rest of their project explorations.

Students will brainstorm and develop a diverse array of creative ideas for connecting the themes of Antigone with contemporary issues, using digital storytelling techniques and community interviews as part of interactive group sessions to collaboratively map out potential projects.

Students will use two days to craft initial versions of infographics and digital storytelling drafts, drawing on peer feedback and historical research, to illustrate connections between Antigone’s themes and modern social justice, setting the stage for subsequent refinement in the Test phase.

Students will present their digital storytelling projects to peers, receive constructive feedback, and refine their work to deepen connections between Antigone's themes and contemporary issues.
