Products
Senior students will create comprehensive digital portfolios that highlight their skills, pathway choices, and competencies using multimedia content. They will also collaborate to design an interactive map or app that displays the chosen pathways of each senior, featuring details of their college, employment, or service opportunities. Additionally, students will produce collaborative art or media projects that narrate the journey through their selected pathways, presenting these during exhibitions. A "placemat" will be developed for each student, visually tracking their progress and showcasing their achievements in securing a 1, 2, 4, or service option by year-end.
Launch
To kick off this learning experience, organize a dynamic "Pathway Exploration Fair" where students interact with diverse community partners, including college representatives, industry leaders, and service organization members. This engaging event will feature interactive workshops, hands-on simulation activities where students guide peers through 1, 2, 4, or service pathways, and collaborative sessions to design individual 'Pathway Blueprints.' By starting with real-world exposure and strategic planning, students are immediately immersed in identifying and pursuing viable post-secondary pathways tailored to their interests and strengths.
Exhibition
Host a dynamic "Pathway Signing Day" event where students present their digital portfolios to a panel including college representatives, industry partners, and community members. Each student will have the opportunity to showcase their "Pathway Blueprints" and digital maps or apps illustrating their chosen career or educational paths. This exhibition will be complemented by an art gallery featuring collaborative visual projects that narrate each student's journey, reflecting on their experiences and future aspirations.
