Students will engage in a week-long project that explores the characteristics of famous leaders and how these can be applied to their own lives to positively impact their school community. By the end of the week, students will present their findings and share their community project outcomes in a school-wide exhibition, fostering dialogue and reflection on leadership and impact. Additionally, students will engage in daily reflective journals to connect leadership skills to their personal experiences and identify ways they can practice these skills in their everyday lives.

Start the project with a "Leader in Me" scavenger hunt where students explore the school to find examples of leadership qualities displayed by staff, students, or in school rules and decorations. Pair students in diverse groups to encourage collaborative conversations and share their findings. Use Kagan strategies to facilitate discussions about how these qualities can be practiced in their everyday lives.
